Dr. Arthur Mauro, O.C., O.M., Q.C., KSG, LL.D., D.Comm., is Chair of the Winnipeg Airports Authority Board of Directors. A nominee of the City of Winnipeg, Dr. Mauro also serves as Vice-Chair of the CentrePort Canada Board of Directors.

Dr. Mauro was born in Thunder Bay Ontario and attended university in Winnipeg. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law, and Master of Law degrees. He practiced law in transportation and communication. He held a senior position at the Great Northern Capital Corporation and was President and CEO of TransAir Limited. Dr. Mauro began at Investors Group in 1976, and was appointed C.E.O. in 1985.

Winnipeg Airports Authority is a non-share capital corporation responsible for the management and operation of Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport and affiliate businesses. Net income is reinvested by WAA back into the community, primarily through airport development projects. WAA is self sufficient with taxpayers not directly involved in financing airport site redevelopment which is being paid through Airport Improvement Fees (AIF).
